Is my invoice data safe?
Yes. All processing happens locally on your computer. Your PDFs and tax data are never uploaded to any server. The app works entirely offline after installation.
Does the app submit invoices automatically?
No. The app fills in the portal form fields, but you always review the data and click the submit button yourself. You remain in full control of every submission.
Is this an official tax authority tool?
No. Tax Portal Assistant is an independent tool, not affiliated with Autoridade Tributaria e Aduaneira or the Portuguese government. It automates form filling within the official portal.
What invoice formats are supported?
The app extracts data from PDF invoices. It reads standard invoice layouts and handles European number formats (comma as decimal separator). It works best with structured, text-based PDFs.
What do I need to run it?
Windows 10 or 11 with Chrome or Microsoft Edge installed. The installer handles everything else; no other software or manual setup required.
How does the setup process work?
Submit your contact form and upload 3 sample invoices. We configure the extraction rules for your specific invoice layout, then send you a license key. The whole process takes no more than 1 business day.
